Cosy and healthy home designed and refurbished with bioclimatic criteria, Feng-Shui, bio construction and geo-biology. It is self-sufficient using renewable energy. We have a large room with a fireplace. Depending upon the season, you can pick mushrooms and fungi, chestnuts, walnuts, blueberries, chamomile, or see squirrels, foxes, and deer in the woods and sheep, cows, pigs and horses on the fields. The house is situated 35 km from Pamplona in Basaburua Valley, between the valley of Ulzama and Larraun (Aralar Range). Alberta cuisine: you can choose traditional, Italian or vegetarian. It has 5 ensuite bedrooms, and we have placed beds in the healthiest areas of the house for a better sleep according to Geobiology principles. At home, we have books and documentation about plants and flowers, Feng-Shui, Bio construction, Geobiology, Food & Health, Ecology and others. If you smoke, you will be invited to smoke outside. The house can be fully rented.
Sustainable agriculture/ farming:
In summer-autumn, we cook with organic products harvested in our own kitchen garden, and also organic milk, eggs, cheese, and local honey. Brochures and tours are available to visit dairy factories, and museum / honey production.
Cultural Heritage and Rural Development:
Rehabilitation of the village was done using bio construction, respecting indigenous materials, stone, chestnut and oak. We collaborate and participate in a tourism consortium, promoting sustainability, responsible consumption and tourism, ecology, environment and respect for the rural and natural resources of the valley.
Kaaño Etxea is completely self- sufficient with renewable energies (wind, solar photovoltaic and thermal). Information is provided on arrival to encourage our guests to save water and responsibly use tablecloths and towels. Stickers are placed on bathrooms walls.
